1st May and spring has really come to the highlands. Primroses everywhere, cuckoos calling and the last April snow just fading from the tops of the hills. Clear blue skies and light easterly winds sent me off up Gleann Meadail once again for my last day in the hills until the autumn. Not a day to be rushed, but the light was very flat and a bit too bright for photography. Still the deep pools of the burn made for some interesting compositions and just to sit, relax and enjoy the peace made it a memorable day.
