Puffins

Puffins
27/06/2015
With the seas calming down after the rough May we've had, I'm getting around the islands a lot more. All the cliff seabirds are doing well, but more open water species such as Gannets, Gulls and Shearwaters seem to be in short supply. As the water warms and fish numbers increase, we'll hopefully see more of these. The situation is the same with dolphin and whale sightings which are thin on the ground at the moment. The puffins of Canna and Rum though are as delightfull as ever and back in larger numbers than for many years.
